On March 24, 24 students were inducted into McDaniel College's Delta of Maryland Chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. Founded in 1776, the Phi Beta Kappa Society is the nation's oldest academic honor society.

Performances are Thursday, Feb. 29-Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Elderdice Studio Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. (Note: the show contains themes of death and grief; may use fog.) Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, seniors (over 60), active military members and veterans, as well as those with a McDaniel College ID.

McDaniel College senior Grayson Jons, a Communication major from Ijamsville (21754), served as a live content correspondent for the NFL. She was one of only three correspondents assigned to the Baltimore Ravens during the 2023-24 season.

Ameerah Johnson of Waldorf, Maryland, a sophomore Criminal Justice and Sociology major at McDaniel College, has been selected as an inaugural fellow for the Service Year Option and Maryland Corps though the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation. Johnson is fulfilling her commitment at McDaniel, which is a host site for the program, where she is assisting with student outreach for various initiatives and programming focused on supporting students across the eight dimensions of wellness - intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, financial, physical, and occupational.

McDaniel College students participated in the Model European Union 2023 Simulation held Nov. 9-11. A delegation of seven students represented Sweden and were accompanied by Christianna N. Leahy, chair of the Political Science and International Studies department at McDaniel. The Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation engages students in discussions and debates that are both current and topical on the European Union (EU)'s agenda.
