McDaniel College students were named to McDaniel's 2026 Homecoming Court. The Homecoming Court was presented Oct. 3 during pre-game activities of the Green Terror football game.

Accounting students in McDaniel College's Economics and Business Administration department participated in McDaniel's annual Interviewing Day on Oct. 1. The students had the opportunity to meet during a three-hour time period with regional firms, many of which were represented by McDaniel alumni.

McDaniel College students participated in summer 2026 internships. Internships and other experiential learning opportunities, such as study abroad, student-faculty research, and independent study, are key elements of the "My Experience" component of the college's signature McDaniel Commitment. The McDaniel Commitment is supported by the Center for Experience and Opportunity, McDaniel's one-stop shop that focuses on experiential learning and career development.

Six McDaniel College students who participated in McDaniel's Student-Faculty Collaborative Summer Research Program with Mathematics Professor Spencer Hamblen, Associate Professor of Mathematics Benjamin Steinhurst, and Mathematics Lecturer Jonathan Epstein presented their research at MathFest. MathFest is the annual summer meeting of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) and was held Aug. 5-8 in Boston.

McDaniel College student actors perform in "Dracula, A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really," by Kate Hamill. Based on the classic Bram Stoker novel, this darkly comic reimagining is about survival, systemic power, and ultimate revenge. Performances are Thursday, Oct. 1-Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in WMC Alumni Hall at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. (Note: the show contains adult material and is intended for mature audiences.) Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students, seniors (over 60), active military members and veterans, as well as those with a McDaniel College ID.

Five McDaniel College students were selected to present their student-faculty research findings at the American Chemical Society's national conference held in Atlanta, March 21-26.
