McDaniel College Students Perform in "Legally Blonde"
McDaniel College students perform in McDaniel College Theatre's production of "Legally Blonde." Performances are Thursday, April 3-Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. McDaniel College's annual student honors art exhibition features a variety of work from five senior Art majors. Titled "Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy," the exhibition runs Thursday, March 13-Friday, March 28, in McDaniel's Esther Prangley Rice Gallery, Peterson Hall, at 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. An opening reception takes place Thursday, March 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m., with a gallery talk at 6 p.m.

McDaniel College students presented student-faculty research findings at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (MARC-ACSM) Annual Meeting held Nov. 1-2, 2024, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The students' collaborative Kinesiology research projects in exercise science were conducted with mentorship from McDaniel faculty members Jennifer McKenzie, professor of Kinesiology, and Richard Laird, associate professor of Kinesiology.

McDaniel College has awarded select first-year and transfer students with Educator's Legacy Scholarships valued at up to $132,000, or $33,000 annually over four years, for each student. Children with a parent or guardian with at least four years of current and consecutive full-time employment at a K-12 school or community college can apply for this guaranteed scholarship to attend McDaniel College. Any service qualifies, such as teachers, administrators, counselors, or support staff, as long as the employment is directly through the school or college.

McDaniel College Students Receive Army ROTC Scholarships
McDaniel College students earned Army ROTC Scholarships. The scholarship, which is awarded based on scholastic, athletic and leadership attributes, covers full tuition, room and board, and fees, plus additional funds for books, as well as a monthly living stipend. The student will be commissioned as a second lieutenant and will be required to serve active duty in the Army Reserve or National Guard upon graduating from McDaniel.
