Students were inducted April 8 into the Phi Sigma Iota International Honor Society for Foreign Languages at McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland.

Students were inducted April 9 into the Omicron Delta Epsilon international honor society for economics at McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland.

Students were inducted April 21 into McDaniel College's Alpha Mu Chapter of the Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) national biological honor society.

On March 29, 23 students were inducted into McDaniel College's Delta of Maryland Chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. Founded in 1776, the Phi Beta Kappa Society is the nation's oldest academic honor society.

Students were inducted March 29 into Kappa Mu Epsilon, a specialized honor society in mathematics, at McDaniel College.

Select McDaniel College students were inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society. Alpha Lambda Delta (First-Year Seminar) recognizes students who completed their first year at McDaniel with a 3.7 grade GPA or higher. Its mission is to encourage superior academic achievement, promote intelligent living and continued high standards, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their roles in society.

Seniors were inducted into the Maryland Pi Chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma national scholar-athlete honor society at McDaniel College during McDaniel Athletics Senior Celebration on May 21.

Select McDaniel College students were named to the Trumpeters leadership honor society. Trumpeters is a leadership honor society that recognizes exemplary qualities of leadership, integrity, and sincerity. Those selected are called to serve as positive examples of the campus by devoting themselves to academics, extracurricular activities, and service. Students may apply for membership in the spring semester of their junior year.

Select McDaniel College students were named to the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society. Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society, was installed at the college in 1963. Membership in the society is a high honor, for it carries with it the responsibility of encouraging students in leadership and community service. Juniors and seniors who stand in the upper 35% of their classes are eligible and selected on the basis of exceptional leadership in various aspects of campus life.

Students were inducted April 5 into McDaniel College's Alpha Mu Chapter of the Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) national biological honor society. There were two inductees for associate membership and 10 for active membership. Ben Smith, director of the McDaniel College STEM Center, was also inducted as an honorary member.
