McDaniel College Sophomore Ameerah Johnson Participates in Inaugural Service Year Option and Maryland Corps

Ameerah Johnson of Waldorf, Maryland, a sophomore Criminal Justice and Sociology major at McDaniel College, has been selected as an inaugural fellow for the Service Year Option and Maryland Corps though the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation. Johnson is fulfilling her commitment at McDaniel, which is a host site for the program, where she is assisting with student outreach for various initiatives and programming focused on supporting students across the eight dimensions of wellness - intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, financial, physical, and occupational.

McDaniel College Sophomore Sydney Hinnant receives college's Griswold-Zepp award

Sydney Hinnant, a sophomore Psychology major, was awarded a Griswold-Zepp award from McDaniel College for a mental health awareness and support project. The Center for Experience and Opportunity (CEO) at McDaniel oversees the Griswold-Zepp Award, which can total up to $3,000 for proposed volunteer experiences of McDaniel students, addressing the needs of local, regional, national, or worldwide communities.
