Six McDaniel College graduates were commissioned May 17 as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

McDaniel College students earned Army ROTC Scholarships. The scholarship, which is awarded based on scholastic, athletic and leadership attributes, covers full tuition, room and board, and fees, plus additional funds for books, as well as a monthly living stipend. The student will be commissioned as a second lieutenant and will be required to serve active duty in the Army Reserve or National Guard upon graduating from McDaniel.

Riley O. O'Hara of Fairfax was one of four graduating seniors commissioned May 21 as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, earned a senior award, and graduated from McDaniel with a bachelor's degree on May 22.

Cameron Victor St Andre of Westminster was one of four graduating seniors commissioned May 21 as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, earned a senior award, and graduated from McDaniel with a bachelor's degree on May 22.

McDaniel College graduate student Cross Okereke was one of nine cadets from the Green Terror Battalion commissioned during a virtual ceremony on May 22 as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Okereke is pursuing a master's degree at McDaniel in Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health specialization.
