McDaniel College's Department of Music presents a special seasonal concert titled "McDaniel for the Holidays." The free performance takes place Sunday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in Baker Memorial Chapel at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. Organized by Senior Adjunct Lecturer Shelley Ensor, McDaniel students, alumni, and faculty, as well as community members, are scheduled to perform.

McDaniel College students perform in the College Band Concert on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in WMC Alumni Hall's Mainstage Theatre at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. Under the direction of Senior Lecturer in Music Linda Kirkpatrick, the College Band comprises nearly 50 musicians, including McDaniel students, as well as McDaniel faculty members, alumni, and community musicians.

McDaniel College students perform in the Student African Drum Ensembles on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in Naganna Forum, Roj Student Center, at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. The program features the traditional African songs "Kuku," "Macaru," "Mengani," and "Lambaa," under the direction of Senior Adjunct Lecturer Pape Demba "Paco" Samb along with the Super Ngewel ensemble.

McDaniel College students perform in McDaniel College Theatre's production of "Measure for Measure," William Shakespeare's darkest comedy. Students perform in the McDaniel College Gospel Choir Spring Concert on Saturday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in WMC Alumni Hall at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. McDaniel College's Gospel Choir performs traditional and contemporary gospel music, as well as spirituals, under the direction of senior adjunct lecturer Shelley Ensor with accompanist Alice Dorsey.

McDaniel College students perform with the Westminster Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, May 4. Under the direction of Linda Kirkpatrick, senior lecturer in music at McDaniel, the orchestra is composed of McDaniel College students and music faculty, Carroll Community College students and music faculty, and community musicians.

Works by Art majors at McDaniel College are highlighted in the first of two capstone exhibitions, titled "Stereotypically Human." The exhibition runs Tuesday, April 23-Friday, May 10, in McDaniel's Esther Prangley Rice Gallery in Peterson Hall. An opening reception takes place Friday, April 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m., with a gallery talk at 6 p.m.

Directed by Tim Jenkins, senior adjunct lecturer of Music, Jazz Night features diverse styles of jazz, including classic big band swing, bebop, Latin, funk, jazz-rock, and classic blues.

McDaniel College students perform in the A Capella Ensemble on Monday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Baker Chapel at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. The group, called the Green TerrorTones, is the premier vocal ensemble at McDaniel College.

McDaniel College students in the college's Singing on Stage class perform on Sunday, April 28, at 7 p.m., in the Dorothy Elderdice Studio Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. The class is taught by Kyle Engler, senior lecturer of Music, and the students perform selections from operas and Broadway musicals. Peggy Brengle serves as accompanist.
