Erma Quimat, a senior from Spencerville, Md. (20868), is a founding member of the McDaniel College Rotaract Club, a service and leadership organization officially chartered by Rotary International. The formal chartering ceremony took place on October 6.

Rotaract clubs are the college equivalent of Rotary clubs. Members commit themselves to community and international service alongside professional and leadership development.

McDaniel students are involved as members of more than 90 student organizations, such as student government, community service, arts and culture, sports and recreation, honor societies and others.
