Junior Elyssa Sykes Bidwell of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. performs in the Gospel Choir Concert at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Md. The performance, which is free and open to the public, takes place Sunday, December 9, 3 p.m., in WMC Alumni Hall.

McDaniel College's Gospel Choir, under the direction of Eric Byrd, music lecturer, performs spirituals, as well as traditional and contemporary gospel music. Among the selections are "Happy," "After This," and "Awesome." Opening the concert is Voices of Praise, a smaller ensemble consisting of select members of the Gospel Choir.
